We, the members of The Lord's Chapel, believe:
A. The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, without any error, and is the basis of our statement of faith. The Holy Bible is the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
B. There is one God, eternally existing in three Persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
C. Jesus Christ came in the flesh, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, was raised from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and is now the believer's Intercessor and Advocate. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
D. All people are sinners and in need of the grace of God.
E. Salvation is a free gift of God's Grace, entirely apart from works, and is only received by faith in Jesus Christ.
F. Prayer is conversation with God, our Father. It is the believer talking to and listening to His response.
G. The Church is committed, as a body of believers in Jesus Christ, to share the good news of salvation to lost mankind.
H. The Church is commanded, by the Word, to assemble for worship, instruction in the Word, fellowship, prayer, and observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper, which were ordained by the Lord Jesus Christ.
I. The Christian is to glorify and worship God and edify man in his personal conduct in relation to his family, his vocation, his neighbor, and his government.
J. Marriage is a biblical institution established by God as described by Scripture. We believe the biblical ideal for marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment. (Genesis2:24) Accordingly, this Church's pastor and staff will not officiate in same-sex marriages, nor will its property or resources be used for such purposes.
K. We believe there are two genders...male and female. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female He created them (Genesis1:27).
At The Lord's Chapel , we are committed first and foremost to loving God with our whole heart, mind, soul and strength and also to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:36-40)
Our church was founded in 1980 by a group of dedicated Christians who wanted to create a welcoming space for all people. Since then, we have grown into a vibrant community that serves our members and our surrounding area. The Lord's Chapel has been serving our community since its inception. Our rich history is filled with stories of faith, service, and growth, and we invite you to be a part of our journey.
At The Lord's Chapel we are committed to glorify God by making disciples who Reach Up to God, who Reach In to strengthen the body of Christ, and who Reach Out to their neighbors and the world with the love of Jesus.
Mark Berry comes to us from Oklahoma. Mark has very graciously agreed to be our interim Pastor while we are in search of a Pastor. Mark and Roxie have been in Ministry for MANY years.
Our leadership team is comprised of 3 Elders and 3 Deacons. The Elders are Brad Livingston, Dixon Schafer and Mark Berry. The Deacons are David Estes, Grant Keener, and Gary Geib. We are blessed to have strong men of faith to lead and protect our congregation.
